Call for Proposals - Information Sessions - Social Development Partnerships Program – Disability component

Minister Khera has launched call for proposals (CFP) under two streams of the Social Development Partnerships Program - Canada.ca – Disability component (SDPP-D). The Disability component of the Social Development Partnerships Program, supports projects intended to improve the participation and integration of people with disabilities in all aspects of Canadian society with respect to social inclusion.
The CFP will be open from November 9 to December 21, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Stream #1: Organizational Capacity Development
• This funding stream focuses on enhancing the organizational capacity of national disability organizations.
• Eligible national disability organizations will be asked to identify areas where they experience organizational capacity challenges that prevent them from better addressing disability issues, and to submit a proposal on their strategies to address these capacity gaps.
Stream #2: Intersectional Capacity Development
• The objective of this funding stream is to increase the intersectional capacity of national disability organizations to address intersectional barriers that impact the inclusion of persons with disabilities.
• Projects funded under this stream will help:
o facilitate the development of meaningful partnerships that address the needs of persons with disabilities who have been excluded because of race, gender, Indigenous status, sexual orientation, immigration status, etc.
o national disability organizations to partner with other not-for-profit organizations to enhance capacity in order to address barriers faced by persons with disabilities.
There will be one information session in English and French on the following dates:
• English: November 20 from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
• French: November 23 from 1:00 to 2:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)
Interested organizations are asked to let ESDC know which information session(s) they would like to attend by emailing [email protected]. A link to an MS Teams meeting will be provided. Organizations will be asked to indicate in advance if any accessibility requirements are needed to facilitate their participation in a preferred session.
