Every Canadian deserves a safe and affordable place to call home – but for many it is getting harder to afford increased rent or to even find housing they can afford.
Nearly 2 million renters across the country are able to apply for a one-time top-up payment of $500 to help with the cost of housing.
This is on top of our previous investments to provide an average of $2,500 to tens of thousands of Canadians across the country through the Canada Housing Benefit.
