Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we remember and pay tribute to the more than six million Jews who were systematically persecuted and murdered by the Nazis during the Holocaust, and the millions of other victims of Nazi atrocities.
The United Nations General Assembly designated January 27th as International Holocaust Remembrance Day because it’s the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau by allied forces from Nazi Germany.
We offer our deepest sympathies to their families and loved ones and recommit our efforts to keep their memory alive for future generations.
We will always stand with the Jewish community and firmly against antisemitism in all its forms.
