We're welcoming more newcomer workers to address labour shortages

Yesterday, our government announced New Occupational Classification (NCO) categories aiming to address the labour shortages faced my many Canadian employers in the past year.
This is why the Government of
is working to welcome newcomers who bring the skills out economy needs and help fill the gaps of our labour shortages. These changes will allow more workers in high demand to be eligible for the Express Entry Program, giving faster access to foreign nationals.
16 new occupations are benefiting from these changes including:
Nurse Aides
Elementary & Secondary school teacher assistants
Transport Truck Drivers
