Help Share the Future of Public Transit Funding in Canada. Let's hear your ideas!
August 2, 2022
Improving public transit infrastructure helps create more inclusive communities, reduce commute times for Canadians, and fight climate change.
Starting in 2026, Permanent Public Transit Funding will provide cities and communities with the predictable transit funding they need to plan for the future and is part of our plan to create one million jobs, fight climate change, and build a more sustainable and resilient economy.
Feedback gathered during the consultations will inform the Government of Canada’s approach to upgrading and expanding public transit and active transportation networks in rural, urban, and Indigenous communities across Canada.
Feedback will also inform a long-term transit investment strategy that aims to build complete, sustainable, and inclusive communities and unlock opportunities to address other challenges, including housing affordability.
