We're making Electric Vehicles more affordable
April 23, 2022
To put more electric vehicles on our roads and make them more affordable for Canadians, we are extending and expanding the Incentives for Zero Emission Vehicles program (iZEV).
Starting April 25, 2022, the iZEV program will be expanded to include more models of cars popular with Canadians, including minivans, light-duty pickup trucks, and SUVs.
To be eligible, a car must have a base model retail price less than $55,000, but higher-priced versions of these cars are also eligible up to $65,000.
For larger ZEVs like minivans and pickup trucks, the base model retail price must be less than $60,000, but higher-priced versions up to $70,000 are also eligible.
This expansion is about making sure Canadians have the options they need – whether you want to make your next family minivan or truck for work, an EV.
