Small and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of our economy and the heart of our communities. That’s why our government has a plan to support these businesses, drive economic growth, and create good paying jobs for the middle class.
Budget 2022 lays out our plan to support small and medium-sized businesses so they can grow, innovate, stay competitive, and create good middle class jobs. We’re focused on building a thriving economy for all Canadians.
In Budget 2022, we’re:
- cutting taxes for growing small businesses,
- improving travel for workers in the trades to help address labour shortages,
- building more efficient supply chains to meet the needs of our economy,
- supporting recovery and growth for businesses from COVID-19 by making smart investments to help them increase their economic activity, and
- helping small and medium-sized businesses access international markets by improving accessibility to Canada’s trade remedy system.
