Internet access is not a luxury, it’s an essential resource. Today, Ministers Champagne, Khera, and Hutchings announced phase two of the Connecting Families Initiative. Our government, working with internet service providers (ISPs), is helping to connect hundreds of thousands of low-income seniors and families to low-cost, high-speed home internet for $20 per month.

This builds on work our Liberal government is doing to ensure that 98% of Canadians, including those with lower incomes and those in rural and remote communities, have access to reliable, affordable high-speed Internet by 2026, and all Canadians by 2030.
