Canada exports $70 billion in agricultural and food products, which account for 1 million Canadian jobs. Seventy percent of agri-food processing occurs in urban centres like the GTA. I met with representatives of the Canadian Agri-Food Trade Alliance today to discuss ways in which Canada help strengthen the rules-based trading environment and diversify our export destinations by concluding trade agreements with more countries, including the Indo-Pacific.
