Today, I joined FedDev Ontario Minister Jaczek in announcing our government's $2.8-million repayable contribution, towards total project costs of $20 million, which will help the company adopt first-in-Ontario manufacturing technologies to enhance productivity, expand into new markets and consolidate its existing facilities in Brampton into one Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) certified 130,000-sq. ft. space. Through this investment, the company expects to create 29 skilled jobs across the Brampton and Peel Region and create opportunities for local agri-food suppliers. This investment is expected to help the company more than double its revenue by 2023.
